Hai Long Delivers Meals, Celebrates the Dragon Boat Festival with People with Disabilities

With the fragrance of bamboo leaves, the Dragon Boat Festival is around the corner. The Hai Long Offshore Wind Project (the Hai Long project), in the spirit of co-prosperity with the local community, has continued delivering meals for charity. On the eve of the Dragon Boat Festival this year, the Hai Long team personally delivered 700 pieces of fresh local produce, fish, and household goods that the team carefully selected to charities in Changhua and Penghu, where the wind farms are located. At the same time, the Hai Long project took upon the role of one-day volunteers for food delivery, spreading love and festive joy, and fulfilling corporate social responsibility.

Since 2019, the Hai Long project has been leading its team members to participate in public welfare activities. The Hai Long project continues forward on the path of renewable energy and sustainable development of the environment, while at the same time hoping to contribute to the local communities where the wind farms are located and create a better life together. For this charity meal delivery event, the Hai Long team collaborated with Le Pon’t, an organization in Penghu established by Syin-Lu Social Welfare Foundation, and Wish Home in Changhua, an ancillary organization of Hong-En Social Welfare Foundation and assisted in the purchase of ingredients and household essentials that the organizations needed. Furthermore, the Hai Long project served as a one-day meal delivery volunteer on the day of donation, converting kindness into practical actions.

Le Pon’t and Wish Home have been taking care of the local people with disabilities. In addition to providing meticulous care, Le Pon’t and Wish Home have helped local people with disabilities discover their potential, build self-confidence, and rebuild their lives. Moreover, the charities created a second home that shelters them. Gina Wu, GR/PR Director of Hai Long Project, said: "Hai Long is committed to developing offshore wind farms in Taiwan and hopes to contribute to the local community. We purchase products from Changhua and Penghu and share them with charities. We also hope to use this as a catalyst to connect all parties and use their strengths, so that blessings can be paid forward and extended to more areas of the society.”

Hai Long Project took action to spread kindness in society on the eve of the festival. The representatives of the charities expressed their gratitude for this and said that each meal meant more than material support. To the people with disabilities, the Hai Long team’s visit and companionship also supported them spiritually, gave them comfort, and made them feel care and warmth, which brought more positivity to society.
