Cable Transport and Installation Engineer

As the Cable Transport and Installation Engineer, you will be part of the Cables team of the Hai Long
Offshore Wind Project and be responsible for the export and inter array cables engineering scope. This role requires excellent collaboration skills and flexibility to work across a range of subjects in order to support the Hai Long project in achieving its proper execution of the cable installation works.
While working within the cables team for the project you will be working on the engineering packages for the cable installation which includes, load-out, transportation, offshore installation, pull-in, termination & testing, trenching and survey works. Being responsible for the engineering it is required to closely work together with the works package engineers and the contractors in delivering the proper documentation as required to successfully deliver the works.

Key Responsibilities
  • Review the technical documentation (including risk assessments) in compliance with the project requirements;
  • Ensure adherence to the project requirements and the agreed work methodologies for the operations offshore and onshore;
  • Follow the day to day operations during the execution of the works and support as required with technical issues;
  • Review document registers to ensure that work instructions, working methods, risk assessments and drawings have been issued and approved prior to commencement of the works offshore;
  • Work in close collaboration with the works package engineers
  • Communicate with the contractor engineering team on a regular basis;
  • Review technical as-built data;

In the role of Cable Transport and Installation Engineer you require excellent communication skills. While being focussed on the final result it is needed to be able making informed decisions independently. As member of the cables team it is important that you are not afraid to work in close cooperation with the cable installation team.

Other requirements are:
  • Preferably a Bachelor or Master’s degree in Civil Engineering, Offshore Engineering, Mechanical Engineering or Maritime Infrastructure;
  • Minimum of four years relevant work experience in the offshore industry with focus on cable installation;
  • Proficiency in English is required for both written and spoken, Mandarin is an advantage;
  • Preferably living in Taiwan, or able to relocate to Taiwan for the duration of the works;

Accounts Payable Specialist

Key Responsibilities

Lead SAP/Electrical Engineer

The Lead Senior Authorised Person Lead SAP is the Certifying authorized/competent person accountable for the safe operation and control of the HV electrical plant on the Project and is obliged to ensure that the special dangers are pointed out prior to any work being carried out on or near to an electrical installation.

  • Accountable to maintain the safety of persons working on or near a high-voltage electrical network/installation/asset whilst maintaining the overall operability and high performance of the HV electrical plant and network in the wind farm.

  • Contribute to the safe and efficient delivery of the on-/offshore Operations and Maintenance of the wind farm via proactive management, good coordination, and communication between all parties to ensure process compliance and effectiveness.
  • Responsible for maintaining an understanding of the Asset Integrity Management policy and strategy, and for carrying out any relevant resultant tasks.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Act as the central authority regarding HV and all other electrical work in the project.

  • Train, nominate, and authorize persons to carry out electrical work under Employers' electrical safety rules

    • Inspect / Test / Commission / Operate and maintain high voltage plant and apparatus
    • VLF Testing of high-voltage cables

  • Monitor unpaid cash positions against market risk metrics and limits and collaborate with Treasury functions and risk control to address potential limit exceedances.
    • Account payable resizing (as required) or delay if there are changes in construction spending such that the payment schedule deviate from forecasted cash movements.
  • Coordinate spot trade documentation with the Treasury and banks from pre-trade discussions through trade execution and completion.
 
  1. Reporting and Compliance:
    • Report and manage relevant cross-time zone timeliness issues.
    • Implement a monthly monitoring process to track actual/forecasted spending on EPCI contracts vs. payment.
  • Creates high-quality and well-structured presentations and reports summarizing portfolio performance and results to the Management Committee in the Project.
•     Ensure compliance with the relevant regulations about the AP’s regulatory requirements, coordinating with regulatory authorities as necessary.


Qualifications & Key Skills
  1. Bachelor degree in Finance or Accounting or above
  2. Around 5 year experience or above in corporate or bank finance & treasury unit
  3. Self-motivated with an innately curious personality and a desire to learn
  4. Detail-oriented and team-oriented
  5. Ability to work independently with accuracy and in a timely manner
  6. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  7. Language: 1). Mandarin: native; 2). English: effective communication

The Grid Connection Engineer/Manager is responsible for overseeing and managing all activities related to grid connection to Taiwan Power Company. This role is essential for ensuring the safe, efficient, and reliable integration of new grid connections while adhering to regulations and maintaining the operational integrity of the power system. It requires close coordination with internal departments, government agencies, developers, and other stakeholders to facilitate a seamless and compliant grid connection process.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead the grid connection process for Hai Long projects, ensuring compliance with Taipower grid codes, national regulations, and international standards.
  • Manage technical approvals and coordinate interconnection agreements between Taiwan Power Company and Hai Long.
  • Ensure compliance with Taiwan’s Electricity Act and related energy policies.
  • Work closely with Taiwan Power Company’s Dispatch, Supply, Distribution and Business  Divisions, Energy Administration (EA), Industrial Development Administration (IDA), Bureau of Standards, Methodology and Inspection (BSMI), and the Taiwan Power Research Institute to facilitate grid connection.
  • Support Commissioning of Onshore Substation, Cables, Offshore Substations and Wind Turbines to ensure smooth grid connection process.
  • Support grid capacity planning and network reinforcement projects for energy integration.
  • Handle emergencies related to grid connection issues, ensuring rapid response and resolution.
  • Verify grid compliance documentation required for energization
  • Represent the project in external meetings with authorities, contractors, consultants, researchers and other developers
  • Prepare proposals, documents and presentation material required to progress the project and manage external stakeholders
  • Provide regular TPC program updates and develop reporting material for management
Qualifications & KEY SKILLS
  • 3+ years of experience in power system engineering, grid connection, or electrical infrastructure projects.
  • 2+ years of expeience in managing interfaces with Taiwan Power Company and related authorities.
  • Strong knowledge of TPC and EA regulations such as grid codes, grid connection procdures...etc.
  • Experience with renewable energy grid integration is highly desirable.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to handle complex grid connection challenges.
  • Effective communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • Bilingual proficiency in Mandarin and English (preferred).
