WTG Deputy Package Director

As the WTG Deputy Package Director, you will be part of the WTG Package team of the Hai Long Offshore Wind Project. The role is a majority office-based project management role. You will report to the Director WTG.

About the Role
As the WTG Deputy Package Director, you will be part of the WTG Package team of the Hai Long Offshore Wind Project. The role is a majority office-based project management role. You will report to the Director WTG.

This role requires high collaboration between the WTG Package and the wider Project, including internal and external stakeholders. You should be able to take on a variety of tasks and subjects, as well as work flexibly with the project as it moves through the different phases, in order to support the Director WTG in delivering the WTG Package. Your focus will be on daily management and coordination within the internal WTG team and facilitating interfaces with other Project teams. The WTG Deputy Package Director will also deputise the Director WTG role when required.

Key Responsibilities
You shall be responsible for the following types of tasks:
    • Planning: Ensure clear task mapping and follow up of actions and tasks within the WTG package.
    • Site Resource: Resource planning for site-based teams.
    • Coordination: Facilitate communication, within the WTG package, between pre-assembly, commissioning, and technical teams.
    • Problem Management: Support WTG package functions to identify and map issues, assign responsibilities, and develop mitigation plans.
    • Responsibility Alignment: Ensure team responsibilities are clear and developed over time. 
    • Information Sharing: Ensure timely distribution of updates and relevant data.
    • Reporting: Update the director on challenges and risks.
    • Claim Support: Identify possible claims, assist with claims, and contract management.
    • Package Management: Deputise the WTG Director during periods of leave or schedule conflicts.
    • Participate in risk management within the WTG package.
    • Support Change Management procedures in the WTG package, including variation orders and claims.

SCADA Engineer

In the role of SCADA Engineer, you will form part of the SCADA Team that reports to the SCADA & Communications Manager.

About the Role

As SCADA Engineer, you will be part of the Substations team of the Hai Long Offshore Wind Project. You will be based in Taipei, Taiwan and report to the SCADA & Communications Manager. This role requires excellent collaboration skills and flexibility to work across a range of subjects. In this capacity, you shall take on a broad range of tasks, including but not limited to the following:

 

Key Responsibilities

  • Support SCADA & Communications Manager in delivering the SCADA, network and communications scope to project objectives
  • Review of SCADA, network and communication design, installation, commissioning documents
  • Liaise with Commissioning & Installation Engineer and Supervisors during installation and commissioning
  • Support SCADA manager to ensure SCADA system including architecture and system equipment's complies with all company and international cyber security standards
  • Support SCADA manager with O&M design, OSS SCADA, WTG SCADA and Onshore Substation SCADA design
  • Maintain interface registers acc. to agreement with stakeholders
  • Translate technical documents from Chinese to English


Qualifications & Key Skills

  • Bachelor’s or master’s degree in Telecommunications Engineering, Control Engineering or equivalent.
  • Fluent in English and Chinese, both verbal and in writing.
  • Direct work experience in a position as SCADA, network or telecommunications engineer preferable.
  • Willing to travel frequently within Taiwan for fabrication site and supplier visits.
  • A team player with ability and motivation to work in a diverse environment with people of different cultural backgrounds.
