About The Role

As a Wind Turbine Generator (WTG) Transport and Installation (T&I) Engineer, you will be part of the Transport and Installation team within the Hai Long Offshore Wind Project responsible for all WTG T&I related matters. WTG T&I related matters are the marine related tasks involved in transporting and installing offshore wind turbines (tower, nacelle, blades) and therefore the role is focused on marine and lifting operations which are a key element in constructing an offshore wind farm. The ideal candidate would have a background in construction, heavy lifting, or marine related fields and be willing to learn about WTG transport and installation and be able to effectively communicate at a technical level as well as being able to translate technical details so these can be discussed internally with non-technical people.
In this capacity, the WTG T&I Engineer shall take on a broad package of tasks, including but not limited to the following:



Key Responsibilities

  • Support in the management of the offshore transport and installation contractor, vessel supplier and Marine Warranty Surveyor including cross discipline cooperation with Engineering, Procurement, Harbour and Fabrication and other project team personnel.
  • Review and provide recommendations regarding Contractor deliverables, including but not limited to transport plans, electrical deck layouts, grillage designs, lift plans/ drawings, weather limitations, response plans etc., and confirm compliance with the available codes and standards.
  • Working closely with the WTG T&I Package Manager, HSE Manager, Quality Manager and the wider project team to assure that suppliers and contractors are operating in compliance with the project QA/QC and HSE and requirements.
  • Review and provide recommendations regarding Contractor HSE risk assessments and associated documentation.
  • Work closely with the WTG Package and Port Management teams to ensure a good interface between land-based WTG preassembly tasks and offshore T&I activities.
  • Provide support in understanding local requirements which are important to WTG T&I activities.
  • Working closely with the WTG T&I Package Manager and Risk Manager, support in managing the WTG T&I risks and opportunities including management and implantation of possible risk mitigations.
  • Support in the management of the interfaces between WTG T&I and other internal project packages (Foundations, WTG, O&M).
  • Support in the review of contractor reports, to ensure compliance with the relevant schedules and contracts, this will include understanding the contract as well as technical schedules.
  • In the role of WTG T&I Engineer, you will report to the WTG T&I Package Manager.



Qualifications & Key Skills

  • 3+ years of experience in construction, heavy lifting, or marine related fields.
  • Educated to degree level in an engineering, maritime or other technical discipline.
  • Ideally possess a technical understanding of vessel and lifting operations with the ability to resolve detailed issues and be able to convey complex technical matters coherently.
  • Exceptional communication skills, comfortable at presenting, building relationships and influencing others, while working effectively across different cultures and geographical locations.
  • Competent when dealing with health and safety standards, quality standards, best practice, technical specifications, and regulatory requirements.
  • Excellent coordination and cooperation skills; a team player who is willing and able to work with others to solve problems and share knowledge.
  • Have knowledge and proficiently in the use of AutoCAD 2D.
  • A strong command of English (written and verbal) is a prerequisite for the role.
  • Self-driven, proactive, and solution-oriented attitude.

As the Part-time accountant, you will be responsible for supporting the Hai Long Accounting team and taking on multiple tasks, including but not limited to the following:

  • Assist in data entry and general ledger process.
  • Check travel expense receipts/ invoices and items.
  • Invoices, receipts, and voucher filing.
  • Assist in other administrative tasks on an ad hoc basis.


This Role Might be for You If

  • University major in Accounting, Finance, or related discipline.

Contract Manager

As a Contract Manager, you will be part of the Contract and Procurement team of the Hai Long Offshore Wind Project and will be responsible for the pre and post contract commercial management of major contracts to ensure that best value is delivered to the project.

About The Role

As a Contract Manager, you will be part of the Contract and Procurement team of the Hai Long Offshore Wind Project and will be responsible for the pre and post contract commercial management of major contracts to ensure that best value is delivered to the project.

In this capacity, the Contract Manager shall take on a broad package of tasks, including but not limited to the following:

Development and implementation of Offshore Wind projects

  • Manage one of the main project contracts in Hai Long, ensuring that all key contractual requirements are complied with both by the project and by our contractors, and taking responsibility for contract administration and management of commercial issues, claims and variations.
  • Undertake contract reviews and advise project team on how to interpret and apply key contract provisions on the day-to-day operational clauses of contracts.
  • Provide analysis of commercial issues post-contract, preparing notes of advice and commercial drafting for post-contract claims and variations.
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory provisions in the wind farm permitting, lease and power purchase agreements.
  • Maintain a contract management register to ensure a proper tracking of claims, payments, warranties, etc.
  • Enhance contractual awareness across project team.
  • Lead on certain procurement activities, including implementation of sourcing strategies aligned with procurement objectives, with the approved budget and in compliance with governance and purchasing procedures.
  • Support day-to-day or regular stakeholder management and commercial and contractual reporting towards project owners.
  • Ownership of overall contract and commercial register, including its development and maintenance.
  • Work closely with subject matter experts on the evaluation of potential contractual and commercial impacts of (technical) decisions.
  • Liaise and manage relationship with local stakeholders, landowners, and authorities.
  • Provide administrative support on project related tasks.
  • Work with subject matter experts within the global Asset Management & Operations team for accurate and efficient project delivery.
  • Liaise with colleagues on other contracts/projects to ensure sharing of knowledge and consistency of approach.
  • Coordinates with the finance department to ensure correct account payables and account receivables in accordance with contractual obligations.
  • Support with package budgeting.
  • Communication, both verbal and written, in English is essential.

This Role Might be for You If

  • You have relevant working experience. i.e., 5-10 years’ experience working within the field of offshore wind or other energy/infrastructure projects.
  • 3+ Years of procurement / contracting / contract management experience.
  • Direct experience as contracts/commercial manager during development and execution phases of projects in excess of EUR 50m, FIDIC based contracts.
  • Sufficient understanding of infrastructure project scope of works, project phases and typical stakeholders.
  • Knowledge of international and national procurement and law, supply chain management, claims management.
  • Knowledge of health, safety and environmental legislation associated with construction projects.
  • Experienced in commercial stakeholder / general stakeholder management.
  • Professionally managing confidential information.
  • Demonstrates excellent English communication skills (verbal and written).
  • Ability to establish, maintain and develop effective relationships.
  • Exhibits strong analytical and critical thinking abilities.
  • Possesses excellent persuasion, negotiation, and judgment skills.
  • Self-driven, proactive, and solution-oriented attitude.
  • IT and presentation skills.
  • The candidate background can be either technical or legal, as long as the candidate is able demonstrate direct experience with contract management as well as a technical understanding.

The project works under the matrix reporting structure. In the role of Contract Manager, you will report to the Principal Contract Manager of the project, as well as to the respective package manager of the package in question.

Accounting specialist

As an Accounting specialist, you will be part of the CFAO (Chief Finance and Administration Office) of the Hai Long Offshore Wind Project and be responsible for executing the accounting and tax related processes.
 

Key Responsibilities

  • Review all invoices/supporting documents for appropriate documentation and approval prior to payment.
  • Performing day to day financial transactions, including verifying, posting and recording accounts payable data.
  • Maintain vendor master data.
  • Maintain copies of vouchers, invoices or correspondence necessary for files.
  • Monitor accounts to ensure payments are up to date.
  • Handle employee reimbursement and travel expense claim.
  • Proceed with month end closing, withholding tax application and bi-monthly VAT filing. Work to drive process improvements in other accounting operation functions as assigned.
  • Other project support assigned.
In the role of accounting specialist, you will report to the Accounting Manager

Qualifications & Key Skills

  • University major in Accounting, Finance or related discipline, with at least 2-year of relevant working experience in similar function. Big 4 experience is a plus.
  • Detail oriented, passion for initiation, strong organizational skills, reliable.
  • Solid understanding of basic bookkeeping and accounting principles.
  • Good communication skills and can work under pressure.
  • Fluent English both verbal and written. Good computer literacy. (Ms Office, Google Suite).
