Key Responsibilities

In this capacity, the Contract Manager shall take on a broad package of tasks, including but not limited to the following:

Support Contract Lead on managing main contracts (such as T&I, OSS or other packages), ensuring that all key contractual requirements are complied with both by the project and by our contractors and taking responsibility for contract administration and management of commercial issues, claims and variations.
Support in undertaking contract reviews and advise project team on how to interpret and apply key contract provisions on the day-to-day operational clauses of contracts.
Provide analysis of commercial issues post-contract, preparing notes of advice and commercial drafting for post-contract claims and variations.
Maintain a commercial dashboard and contract management register to ensure a proper tracking of claims, payments, warranties, etc.
Enhance contractual awareness across project team.

Support day-to-day or regular stakeholder management and commercial and contractual reporting towards project owners.
Ownership of overall contract and commercial registers, including its development and maintenance.
Work closely with subject matter experts on the evaluation of potential contractual and commercial impacts of (technical) decisions.
Provide administrative support on project related tasks such as invoices, tax applications, etc..
Liaise with colleagues on other contracts/projects to ensure sharing of knowledge and consistency of approach.
Coordinate with the PMO and finance department to ensure correct change process has been applied and correct account payables and account receivables in accordance with contractual obligations.
Support with package budgeting.

The project works under the matrix reporting structure. In the role of Contract Manager, you will report to the Procurement and Commercial Lead of the project, as well as to the respective package manager of the package in question.

Qualifications & Key Skills

You have relevant working experience and education (minimum bachelor’s degree). i.e., 5 years’ experience working within the field of offshore wind or other energy/infrastructure projects.
Minimum 3 years of procurement / contracting / contract management experience.
Direct experience as contracts/commercial manager during development and execution phases of projects in excess of EUR 50m, FIDIC based contracts
Knowledge of international and national procurement, supply chain management and claims management.

Payment Implementation / Cash Management:

Prepare a timely cash balance statement for each account.
Regularly consolidate cash positions and prepare an analysis table of receivables and payables.
Archive bank related documents for internal control and external control needs.
Execute the monthly inventory process of cheques.
Instantly update the contact information of counterparties and bank-related pledges, hedging and other limit conditions.

Payment Daily Operations / Documentation

Consolidate and prepare cash position of remittance for signature and reference.
Monitor unpaid cash positions against market risk metrics and limits and collaborate with Treasury functions and risk control to address potential limit exceedances.

In the role of Operations Lead – CLV works, you will report directly to the Cables T&I Package Manager for general day-to-day reporting, communications and operational activities. You will be responsible for the coordination of all activities and documentation related to the Cable Installation and Transport Vessel(s). Furthermore, you will actively maintain and interact within the Cables team and with the related packages in the coordination of the relevant interfaces.

The Operations Lead – CLV works shall particularly take ownership of following up the preparations of the actual execution works as taken up by the cable T&I contractor(s) and subcontractor(s) and reviewing the plans of the contractors prepared for this. In this capacity, the Operations Lead – CLV works shall take on a broad package of tasks, including but not limited to the following:

Key Responsibilities

Act as main point of contact for all matters related to the Cable Installation and Transport Vessel(s),
Follow the day to day operations during the execution of the works and support as required with technical issues, including overseeing the; Vessel planning, Vessel manning, Vessel equipment, Offshore works, Cable loading, Cable storage, Cable transport, Port calls, Relevant documentation, Relevant permits (with authorities and within the Hai Long project), Client reps,
Support and/or lead technical discussions and interfaces with local Contractor(s), Subcontractor(s) or Stakeholder(s) relevant to the Cable transport and installation scope,
Dealing with cable package external interface with other asset owners which could cross or be in proximity with the project’s cables,
Support in following-up and challenging the T&I contractor on providing the solution to all technical aspects of the cable T&I, especially focused on the planning of the offshore operations for Cable transport and installation,
Review and provide recommendations regarding Contractor proposals and plans, including but not limited to logistics (transport and storage) plan, loading plan, installation work method statements, installation analysis, installation storyboards and drawings, lift plans/ drawings, installation sequences, weather limitations, weather downtime estimations, etc., and confirm compliance with the contract, available codes and standards,
Follow up on compliance of T&I Contractor with the Quality and HSE requirements for the Transport and Installation processes as per the Employer's Requirements and Contracts,
Support in the review of contractor reports, to ensure compliance with the relevant schedules and contracts, this will include understanding the contract as well as technical schedules,
Report of technical issues to the project management, particularly risks and develop mitigation measures as part of the overall risk management process,
While being focused on the final result it is needed from time to time to be able making informed decisions independently.

Qualifications & Key Skills

Full-time position with standard business hours. Occasional evening or weekend work may be required,
Work is performed in an office setting with irregular visits to the vessel(s) during port calls,
Frequent travel to rock storage areas and operational sites is required,
Self-driven, proactive, and solution-oriented attitude.

Proficiency in English and Chinese language. (reading, writing, talking)
