Finance Analyst

Full Time
Department CFAO
Location Taipei, Taiwan

As a Financial Analyst, you will be a member of the Chief Finance Officer CFO Department, which is responsible for a wide range of corporate functions, including Project Finance, Corporate Finance, Accounting and Tax. Across these various functions, your main responsibility is Financial Modelling. You will work with members of the CFO team, whose mandate is to review and analyze the financial results, ensure compliance with lenders’ requirements, and make any necessary adjustments on post-FC management.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist in the development and maintenance of financial models to support business decision-making processes.
  • Collect, organize, and analyze financial data from various sources to input into models, including collaborating with cross-functional teams to understand business requirements and model assumptions, such as status updates to government authorities, press releases, industry feedback, budgeting, hedging, etc.
  • Perform financial modeling, valuation, scenario analyses, sensitivity analyses as and when requested for purposes related to project financing and business case updates.
  • Support Sr Finance Associate in creating accurate and detailed financial projections, forecasts, and valuation analyses.
  • Maintain and update existing financial models to reflect changes in business operations, market conditions, or strategic initiatives. Perform ad-hoc financial analysis and modeling tasks as required by management.
  • Assist in preparing presentations and reports based on financial modeling results for internal and external stakeholders.
  • Participate in meetings and discussions to contribute insights and recommendations based on financial analysis.
  • Handle administrative tasks in relation to Project Finance or Financial Modelling such as maintaining Project Finance calendar, noting business day conventions, deadlines on regular reporting, notice periods, etc.
  • Seek approvals for various documentation and chop the appropriate forms and documents upon approval.
  • Identify and follow up on any outstanding action items, bringing them to the attention of the respective responsible action owners.
  • Collaborate with CFO team members to deliver mandates of each respective function.

 

Qualifications & Key Skills

  • Holds a bachelor’s degree in business administration, finance, accounting, and/or economics
  • Possesses 2-3 years of experience in financing, accounting, and/or external financial audit
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel with the ability to utilize common formulas intuitively
  • Hands-on experience in Taiwan renewable energy industry and project finance is a plus
  • Fluent in English and Chinese, both written and spoken
  • Strong communication and team working skills across functions
  • Disciplined, well-organized and detail-oriented
  • Capable of working independently with minimal supervision after appropriate training
  • Energetic and willing to foster proactively a warm and enjoyable working atmosphere
