Hai Long is one of the biggest offshore wind projects to ever be built and the biggest in Taiwan to date. Taiwan is a specially challenging geographic location which poses special technical challenges to an offshore wind project, such as seismic activity, extreme wind conditions (typhoons), etc. Furthermore, Hai Long will use Siemens-Gamesa 14-222 DD 14MW wind turbine, their latest wind turbine model currently under development and the biggest wind turbine ever used by the time Hai Long is built. This all makes Hai Long a really exciting technical challenge, which we on the Hai Long team are thrilled to take. Because of its 1,022MW scale, Hai Long also plays a fundamental role in Taiwan's energy policy, to secure the supply of electricity and the decarbonization of the economy. We are very conscious of the great responsibility that comes with this project.

The Hai Long team is very much excited to work on the leading offshore wind project in Taiwan, who is also a front runner in Asia-Pacific's offshore wind market. Hai Long Project aims not only to generate green electricity for Taiwan, but to create a value chain which enables the local industry and talent in Taiwan to compete as global players in the international market. Moreover, the Hai Long team cherishes all opportunities to broaden and enhance our connection with local people and communities, and to build sustainable interaction between the project and the public. We commit to delivering stable and clean energy for Taiwan in good cooperation with the local society. I am confident that Hai Long Project will become a successful pioneer and milestone in the industry and in Taiwan.
